I vote sectional. Probably because we have one and love it. I'm sure either one will do fine though :)

My vote is sofa. Just seems to open things up more and you can sit on a completely different sofa/loveseat when your upset (not that I have any experience with that..hehe).

Are these the colors you're using? if so, I'd go sofa. But I personally love sectionals for comfort. It makes for a more relaxed environment. Are you going for a more formal feel? If so, I'd say the sofa. Confused? :)

I have always been a sofa person since I tend to want to move my furniture around quite a bit. BUT we had some friends with a sectional and there was something so comfortable and cozy about that little corner spot...
I'm a sofa person, too. But I come from a family of congenital re-arrangers. Just make sure the sofa is long enough to stretch out on (not that you have space worries we have!!!).
I vote sectional, you can fit more people.
I like the sofa set up for a few reasons (1) you can move stuff around (2) it's more traditional (I'm old school)(3) Space for an extra coffee table to put your drink (4) It's nice to have a completly separate couch from our spouse sometimes (sorry Bill!)
i vote for sectional...only if its an "L" shaped one one though. I'm not to big on the curved ones. :) We've actually been thinking about getting one too.
